Well they are actually here now - I started this post yesterday before they got here. It's so wonderful to all be together. We had a wonderful visit yesterday with extended family coming to see them. Today we took them to the Green Dragon. It's a farmer's market located in Epherta, PA.
Dana had never been there and thought that it was great. It was a bit breezy and cloudy this morning so it was pretty cool outside, but as the day went on it got warmer. We had all kinds of flea market type foods, sausage sandwiches with fried onions and french fries with vinegar. I bought some jalapeno pickles from Peter Piper's Pickles, a huge head (about the size of 2 dinner plates together) of cauliflower for $1, and some really sweet celery hearts.
I just took 2 pumpkin pies out of the oven. I'm making an early Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow with all the trimmings, including pumpkin pie. Our Texans are at the newlyweds tonight. Our Happy Homemaker is having a surprise birthday party for Flyboy tonight - just a bunch of his friends.
I've got a bit more prep work to do for tomorrow's supper so I'm going to run. BTW - have you burned any of these wood wick candles? They crackle as they burn.
Hope that you are all enjoying your weekend!
