I've finally finished the last pages of my handmade monthly planner for 2014. I LOVE how it turned out! I have the months planned out as 2 page spreads. On one side is the calendar and the other side has some kind of pocket for me to add notes and pages related to the individual month.
The cooler temps have given me some much needed energy. It actually went down into the 40's last night! Yeah! It's not supposed to last though, warmer weather and humidity is in our 10 day outlook. But I'll take it for right now!
Tomorrow is my birthday, so Mr OP and I are going to spend the day doing something that I LOVE to do - junquing! We're headed to Renninger's in Kutztown, then we'll head to Adamstown and hit some shops there, plus Shupp's Grove. I can't wait! We really haven't done too much junquing this summer. There was actually a new thrift store that opened close by this summer. I kept saying that I wanted to stop, but never did. Unfortunately it closed last week. How sad is that? Less than 3 months and it closed.
I think that we're having dinner tomorrow night with our newlyweds. Can't wait to see them. They only live 5 minutes away, but we keep our distance. I try to make plans to see them every 2 weeks, but we talk and text a few times a week. I remember what it's like to be newlyweds and trying to set-up a home:)
Plus our Happy Homemaker just got a huge promotion - she jumped 3 job titles!! Woo Hoo for her! People that she used to work for now work for her. Anyway, the new position gives her added work that she brings home with her. Our Flyboy has finished classes and just needs to bank his flight time to be able to graduate in December, so they have a lot going on.
On Monday, my Mum and I are headed to Lancaster County to spend the day together, it's our traditional way to celebrate my birthday. I'm itching to buy a mum and a pumpkin or two. We'll see, I'd hate to buy them too early.
These last 2 pages are bonus pages in my planner. This one is for goals. I may use it for personal goals, household or financial goals... I'll decide next year.
Another bonus page is dedicated to a reading list. I'll add books that I've read on the right hand side and a books that I want to read on the left. It works for me.
There are a few other blank pages so that I can further customize the planner. One will be for meal planning and I may make one of them a "Favorite Quotes, Scriptures and Sayings," it would make it easier for scrap booking and card making if I had all of these types of things in one central location.
Do you keep a monthly planner? Is it a traditional one or an electronic one?
