Roberta gave me this baby doll about 2 years ago, it was her Dad's (my Great Uncle Bob). She's been sitting in the box until this past weekend, when I finally decided that she needed to make an appearance.
I thought that maybe she'd fit into my vintage doll buggy, but she's soo big that her legs hung over the ends. I'd say that she's the size of an 9 month old baby. See how big she is in my highchair?
Weekends go by so fast don't they? I have a set schedule for getting housework done throughout the week, but we all know how schedules can go out the window in the blink of an eye. Since the "boys" aren't living here any more the number of loads laundry has shrunk. Funny thing is, I miss doing their laundry. I love hanging it all out on our clothesline, keeping everything neat and tidy. I hang like things together - first are jeans, then shorts, then tee shirts - that's just me. It bothers me if things are hung willy-nilly. Not that it effects how things dry, just my sense of order.
I'm really looking forward to this 3 day weekend - Labor Day - a sure sign that fall is on it's way. We haven't made any plans yet, we're just going to take it as it comes. One thing is for sure, we'll be having yummy picnic food. The local corn on the cob has been so sweet - I've been buying it every week, so that's a given.
What are your plans for the holiday weekend? Picinics? Junquing?
