The electrician was here on Saturday for over an hour. He's going to give us an estimate breaking projects down to make things more budget friendly for us. We should have the estimate early this week.
I loved the vintage look of this pack of buttons, so after I used the buttons in a paper crafting project I kept the packaging to use in another project. I look at a lot of things differently and remember my Gram saying, "Waste not, want not." She sure knew her stuff.
Thrift stores and flea markets are wonderful places to find things to re-purpose or just re-use. The darker faced Baby Ben was my parents, but the white faced Baby Ben was a find at flea market. Sure they need to be wound daily, but I much prefer them to buying something brand new or "from this century" as the boys tease.
Plus, they make a great back drop for my pink cowboy - er eh I mean Flamenco Dancer (thanks Vee)! Apparently the answer to the age-old question is right in front of us, for all to see - "Real men do wear pink!" Well I guess technically he's all pink;)
So what kind of alarm clock to do use?

No alarms needed here and winding would not start any of my vintage ones. Now isn't that pink figurine a flamenco dancer? I don't think that any self-respecting cowboy would wear pink. ;>
Me-thinks he is both! A cowboy. Look at that hat. And a dancer. ,-)
No alarm clock needed here. I always wake early enough, so even when he was working full time, we didn't need one. :-)
Oh, we have a crappy old alarm clock radio.
Mister uses his phone.
lol! Love the Flamenco dancer! The alarm is on my side of the bed and is UGLY! But then again, it's typically got a pile of sock singles laying on top of it... So it doesn't have to be real pretty...
