What makes a Happy Home? I love to take care of my family. For me, creating a home that is warm and inviting, where everyone feels welcome is pure joy! The smell of fresh laundry just in off the clothesline, a neat and tidy home and garden, a good home cooked meal, a few desserts here and there, the love of family, friends and fellowship all help to make our home a Happy Home. Join me as we celebrate the holidays, the birthdays and the every days!

Handmade Cards

I've finally been able to spend some time in my studio! YEAH!!! I have a list of Birthday and Thinking of You cards to make and send, plus Valentine's cards and Valentine's projects that I'd like to try, there such inspiration out there!

This is my favorite out of this batch. I love the "fifties style" silhouette. She just makes me smile when I look at her. I can't believe how fast time flies by when I'm in my studio. I've been up here for 2 hours and feel as if I just walked into it.

I'm missing our Fireman a lot. We text a lot and talk on the phone on his days off, but it's not the same as seeing him in person. I think that the minute we give birth a switch goes on and no matter how old they are, we still worry. I remember driving home from the hospital when he was a newborn. I was petrified of how Mr OP was driving. It never bothered me until that day - must be a Mum chromosome. A least that's my take on it:)

Do you buy Valentine's Day cards?

I'm linking to Beverly's Pink Saturday.

I love the 50's silhouette card. Perfect to send to a gal born at that time! xo

Hi Leann! Oh, I worry just as much as ever! Yes, I think once that motherhood instinct takes over, there's no going back. Our babies just mean so much, that everything matters so much more... LOVE your cards. Like Barbara, I think the 50's silhouette is my favorite too! Is the woman on the card from a die cut, or just purchased that way?.. Nice work on ALL of them anyways! Stay warm this weekend! ~tina

I am sure you will create some lovely cards. I think the older ones have more character than some of the new ones. I am a card lover. Should own a card shop.

time easily slips away when we are doing things we love...like creating or taking care of our babies.
Love your cards ! Don't buy Valentines any more but do make a few.

Yes, that Mom-worry-gene never goes away. :-)

You do beautiful art work and crafting! And you love doing it, so that's the best of both worlds. :-)

Leann, I meant to ask you, do you sell your cards? I'd love to buy two of the silhouettes from the 50's. xo

Leann,
Just caught up on your posts! Sometimes I get my hubby a card, and Chickie too, now that I think about it. My dad always made cards for us for Valentines Day, and wrote a verse that he made up on it. I sometimes do the same, now that I think of it! But my cards are just pen and sometimes construction paper!
Your lemon juicer is very cool. My favorite gadget may be kitchen scissors because I like cutting food with them!
Love the teacup in the canister...sometimes I think about doing that with laundry soap...if I used powder.
And the Christmas Nail is a wonderful ornament. How meaningful.

Isn't it amazing how time seems to move at a different dimension when you are being creative? It never ceases to amaze me. These are just wonderful -- I'd be hard pressed to decide which I loved most!
