Handmade Cards, Gifts and a Giveaway

I sold a couple packs of handmade cards this past month and thought "Hey, if people like them enough to buy them then people might like them as a gift." Well, Bucky did have to talk me into thinking this way. This pack is for Kristen, my brother's girlfriend. I don't know her too well, so I went with some fairly neutral things...a pack of cards, 2 handmade dish cloths and a small Christmas bowl.

I was approached by another publishing company to review Chicken Soup for the Soul's "The Gift of Christmas."  The best part about this is that I get to giveaway 2 copies to you, my friends! What better gift at Christmas than the gift of friendship?!

This book is over flowing with true personal stories just like all the other Chicken Soup for the Soul books (which I LOVE). You know that I'm a "Keeper of Christmas" and that I wouldn't steer you wrong when it comes to a good book - well this one fits the bill for both! Plus, just look at the gorgeous vintage image on the cover!

Much like the recent tragedy in CT, this book helps to put everything into perspective at Christmas time. The stories will surely put some Christmas joy in your heart! We need to be thankful for the many blessings in our life and focus on what Christmas is all about. Everyday you have a choice. You can choose to be happy or you can choose not too. I choose happiness. How about you?

If you'd like to be entered to win one of the 2 copies that we are giving away please leave a comment on this post. If you'd like an extra entry then post about this on your blog. That's it, easy peasy! Contest ends midnight on Thursday,December 27th, I'll pick the winner on Friday, December 28th. Good Luck!

Oh those books are so good. I love reading short essays and these sorts of stories fit the bill so nicely.

That sounds like a wonderful gift for a gal you don't yet know too well. I think homemade, handmade anything is always preferable and often the very best, especially where cards are concerned.
